Why a Complete Drawing Set Is the Cheapest Thing You’ll Buy

A drawing set is not paperwork; it is the building, described. When the set is complete — every detail drawn, every material specified, every condition coordinated — the contractor builds what the architect intended and the owner pays once.
When the set is thin, the building gets designed a second time, in the field, by people whose job is to build, not to design. That redesign has a name on the invoice: the change order.
We draw complete sets not because we enjoy drafting, but because it is the single most reliable way to protect a client’s budget. The detail you pay for in design is the detail you don’t pay for twice in construction.
